On behalf of the Paper Manufacturers Association of South Africa, the Sustainable African Forest Assurance Scheme (SAFAS) and the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment, we invite you to the third webinar on carbon measurement and reporting for Forestry and Forest Products.

This webinar follows from the introductory presentations on carbon reporting and carbon tax that was held on 20 July 2023 and the webinar on the measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) tool to be held on 19 September. This presentation will describe the protocol that has been developed to assist third party timber growers to measure and report on sequestration and emissions that also mitigates the concerns raised by government. 

The presenters are Steven Germhuizen and Dr David Everard from SAFAS who developed an online calculation tool that is aligned with the DFFE MRV tool.
