Sawmilling South Africa AGM | 10 June 2026
Sawmilling South Africa (SSA) invites you to attend its Annual General Meeting on
Wednesday, 10 June 2026 at Future Africa in Pretoria.
The day will commence with a morning session hosted by the University of Pretoria in
partnership with the Embassy of Finland, titled “Doing Business with Finland”. The session will
explore opportunities for collaboration, investment and technology exchange between South
African sawmillers and leading Finnish companies across the forestry and wood processing
value chain, while also featuring insights into international market opportunities, funding
mechanisms, and the latest innovations in sawmilling, automation and wood processing
technologies.
His Excellency Mr Pekka Metso, Ambassador of Finland to South Africa, will open the
proceedings.
A networking lunch will follow the morning session. There will also be a visit to Engineering 4.0
Timber lab for anyone interested.

Time: From 08h30 (registration and refreshments)
The SSA AGM will commence at 14:30 and is open to SSA members only.
A formal agenda along with the AGM documentation will be circulated closer to the time.
Guests are also invited to attend a reception at the Ambassador’s residence from 17:00 to 19:00.
