Arxada, a global leader in wood treatment technologies, has appointed Johan Nortje as the Customer Account Manager for the KwaZulu-Natal, Southern Mpumalanga and Swaziland (Eswatini) regions. He brings with him 14 years of experience in the timber industry, of which 10 years were spent in the sawmilling sector.
“With his experience, high level of enthusiasm and a sound understanding of our customers’ needs and expectations, we are pleased to welcome Johan to the Arxada team. We are confident that our customers are in capable hands and that working with Johan, we will continue to provide the industry-leading support that is vital to our operations,” said JJ du Plessis, the senior regional sales manager at Arxada, trading as Arch Wood Protection South Africa.
Johan’s most recent position was with Wood-Mizer Africa, where he was the Sales and Technical Specialist. In his new role of Customer Account Manager at Arxada, he will be largely responsible for providing sales and engineering support, technical and OHS services, treatment plant audits and the training of treatment plant operators on timber treatment processes.
